Top Five Things to Enjoy This Summer

If part of your summer plan is staying on campus, you should have fun while you’re at it! Classes are a lot more fun when you have the perks of enjoying unlimited parking, smaller class sizes and more flexible free-time hours.

We want you to enjoy your summer while you’re here. Here are five things you won’t want to miss this summer!

1. Free Sno Cones Every Tuesday

Summer without a sno cone is simply not summer. The OU Summer Session team will have free sno cones every Tuesday starting at 11 a.m. for the first 300 people. Be there!

2. Late Nite Pool Parties

There’s nothing like a relaxing late nite pool party after a blazing, hot summer day. The OU Summer Session team is creating the fun for your Wednesday evenings with student-only pool parties. Free food and drinks will be provided! Be one of the 50 first attendants and receive an OU Summer Tank Top.

Besides the campus fun, there are a number of festivals, places to see and things to enjoy around the metro area!

3. 40th Annual Paseo Arts Festival

Memorial Day weekend is just around the corner. This year, make a day trip to Oklahoma City and venture out to Paseo Arts District’s 40th Annual Arts Festival. The two-street curb has been home to Oklahoma art talent since the 1920s. The Paseo Arts Festival will feature work from more than 80 visual artists, live music and a food court with a variety of options.

4. Jazz in June Music Festival

Summer also is one of the best times to explore Norman! Join the celebration for the 33rd Annual Jazz in June Festival. Norman’s outdoor jazz and blues festival brings together Oklahoma and national artists, and it’s FREE to the community.

5. Weekend Dodgers Game

For more weekend fun, head to Oklahoma City for any Dodgers home game. If you’re looking for extra fun, make it to a Friday game to enjoy the fireworks show after the game. Stay updated with the Dodgers social media and receive alerts of special giveaways!
