As a part of OU’s new Thousand Strong campaign, OU SPE used the concept of crowdsourcing to raise funds for their trip to SPE’s Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) in Dubai this year. From July 25 until September 2, thirty-four donors contributed to total sum of $10,000. This money will be used to send sixteen students, partially-fully funded, to Dubai to attend ATCE later this month where they will interact with members of the industry and broaden their global understanding.
