51st US Rock Mechanics/Geomechanics Symposium Summary

The American Rock Mechanics Association (ARMA) held their 51st U.S. Rock Mechanics Symposium in San Francisco, California, June 25-28. MPGE Professor Ahmad Ghassemi and some other members of the Reservoir Geomechanics & Seismicity Research Group attended the meeting and presented a total of 11 papers. Professor Ghassemi helped organize the second ARMA Technical Committee on Hydraulic Fracturing workshop, and co-chaired one conference session. In addition, OU students Zhi Ye and Elahe Khosravi were recognized for their high quality volunteer services, and PhD student Varahanaresh Sesetty led a group in Rock Mechanics Jeopardy contest and won first prize.
