OU IT Store Vending Machines

Tech Vending Machines

The OU IT Store has a really impressive new program: Tech Vending Machines. What does this mean for the campus community? It means that, even after hours, you will have access to some basic tech accessories. There are currently seven active locations, with at least three more in the works.

Existing locations are the Bizzell Library LL1, Cate Center, College of Education, Research Campus and all the Residential Towers. They are accessible 24/7. The IT Store uses a remote inventory system, so the machines should always be stocked with your favorite items.

So that begs the question: Exactly which items are we talking about? The short, non-answer is that it depends on the location. The basic items in every machine are headphones, flash drives, laptop and phone chargers, and batteries. Some locations will have additional items catering to specific programs, such as the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education and upcoming Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication sites.

Let’s also address pricing: It’s exactly the same student pricing as you see in the IT and OneU Stores, tax included. So, buy from the vending machines comfortable in the knowledge that you are getting the same great deals offered in-store.
Have you used any of the vending machines? Are there items you’d like to see included in the future? Let us know in the comments.
