First, I’m so sorry I haven’t written more. I’ve been busy studying and doing various other things back in the city. Needless to say I got sidetracked. Anyway, the current date is March 11, 2010. Spring Break officially starts at 3:30 on March 12, 2010 for me. And I’ve got to tell you: I’m very happy that I get to have a week without classes. No doubt I will still be studying for, of course, O. Chem II. But still.  I think I can speak for almost everyone here on campus when I say Spring Break is the time to relax in our own individual ways. For me, I will be heading back to the city to spend some very much needed time with certain people. It’s really hard to keep up with relationships when you live in different cities. But anyway.

What to update on? Well, O. Chem II. Sigh…Sad to say that I didn’t do very well on my first exam. However, I aced my second exam with a 100. So that will hopefully boost up my grade some in the overall class. I have been studying endlessly for O. Chem. That first exam score scared me so much that I have basically been living at the library for the past week. Lesson for all you future freshmen: Don’t overestimate how well you know the material of your lessons. There’s always more to learn and more to be sure on. Keep studying until the morning of your exam. It’ll pay off. I bet you anything on that. But anyhow. I’m currently studying for my third exam, which is coming up the week after Spring Break ends. Just greeeeaaaat…right?

Let’s see. What else. My honors class that focuses on films of the 60’s has been going very well. We just finished watching “Midnight Cowboy.” I’ll tell you what: If you ever want to feel depressed and sad, this is the movie to watch. But I digress. I got an A on my first paper for my honors class, which I’m quite happy about. I’m waiting to see how my other papers for this class will evolve. It should be very interesting.

What else, what else….I got advised recently and am very happy to say that I will still be going after my History minor. I’m so happy. I found out that some of the courses I will need to take anyway can be counted toward my minor. So I won’t have to take many extra classes. I’m so ecstatic. Now if only that World War II class will come around so I can jump in…..=] I am also planning on taking my first Microbiology class next fall. I’m so excited. I cannot wait. Seriously. I believe things will be very nice next semester and I am waiting patiently for it all to come to me.

To update on other aspects of my life: I just finished reading “Beautiful Creatures” by Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl. It’s a young adult book about a mortal guy falling in love with a….very interesting girl. Anyway, I hated it. I didn’t like this book at all and was very relieved when I finally got done with the 500 page novel. Seriously. I had to go through 500 pages of torture, basically. I will never pick that book up again in my life. Good news is I started reading “Tamar” right after I finished “Beautiful Creatures” and “Tamar” is absolutely wonderful. I’m not yet done with this novel, but I am enjoying it all the same. It’s a story based on World War II. Of course I would love it.

Anyhow, that’s about it for now. I’m currently at the library and am having a craving for a white chocolate mocha. I think I’ll head down to the Bookmark and get a cup. I hope all students enjoy their Spring Break and may everyone enjoy this beautiful (but just a little windy) weather!

BOOMER SOONER!
