So here I am two weeks into my JUNIOR year at OU! Wow, I seriously cannot believe how quickly the time has flown by. I’m beginning to miss those gen-eds as I sit in some of my first 3000-level classes wondering if I’m in the wrong class as I look at the insane syllabus in front of me. Haha, but it’s all going to be a-okay. Why? Because we have incredible three day weekends like Labor Day Weekend. Let me just let you in on my awesome weekend as a Sooner.

On Friday, a huge group of my friends in Gamma Phi Beta coordinated a mixer with the BYX fraternity and let me tell you, it was SO MUCH FUN! Although Norman is a small(ish) town, as a junior I am still finding new and fun things to do on the weekends! My newest discovery: Sooner Corral…home of the funnest (is that a word?!) two-stepping in town. Now, I didn’t know how to two-step going into this shindig, but as you can probably assume from the name, it can’t be THAT hard! And it wasn’t at all! It was so fun getting to meet new people, hang out with friends, and have so much fun dancing the night away!

And then, Saturday. It was like Christmas morning. Game day was FINALLY here!! I got to wear the new game day dress that I bought and cheer the Sooners onto victory as they dominated Tulsa. Football season might be my absolute favorite thing about fall semester; the atmosphere, the fans and the crimson and cream that is absolutely everywhere! 🙂 Ahh, I just love it!

On Sunday I went to my church, Wildwood Community Church, with some friends and then spent the afternoon hanging out and working on some homework. The colder weather took everyone by surprise and I’m so glad that it’s kind of here to stay! Monday was another day of relaxation and chiseling away at my never-ending pile of homework.

The other day, I discovered this website from one of my friends that allows you to listen to music for free and I have been listening to it non-stop while I work on homework. It is making studying so much more fun! Currently playing: Best Love Song by Chris Brown.
