So you’ve been admitted…what’s next?

If you answered filling out your housing application and contract, you’re right! This is a two step process that brings you closer to being ready for your freshman year. Housing will be an experience like no other you will ever have.

On-campus living provides safety, flexibility, support and convenience. Because we are owned and operated by OU, only we can provide the true collegiate living experience you deserve. As a first year student, you will call the Residence Halls home!

To begin filling out your housing application go to www.ou.edu/housingandfood.html and select “Step One” at the top of the page. You will have a $30 application fee due upon completion of this step. This should only take you a few minutes and must be completed before you have access to the contract.

After your Housing Application has been processed and you’ve been admitted to OU, you may then access the Fall 2012- Spring 2013 OU Freshman Housing Contract. Some details about freshman living:

You may request a roommate, but you may not request suitemates. Mutual roommate requests must be received by the Housing and Food Services Operations Staff on or before May 1.  Requests received after that date may not be honored.  Housing assignments will be e-mailed to your OU e-mail address beginning in late June.  Assignments are based on priority date: the receipt date of your accurately completed contract, along with verified status in the Enrollment Commitment Program.

So make sure to sign up early so you get the spot you want. If you have any questions the Housing and Food main office is always willing to answer them at (405) 325-2511.
