Web Communications is a small and very collaborative office. Applicants for this position must work well both as part of a team and individually. Development will sometimes be done as a pair or in a group. Developers participate in routine code reviews and internal cross training sessions.
This position will be involved in the complete software life cycle including troubleshooting issues in production. A qualified applicant for this position should be able to take a project from the planning and functional design phase to launch including estimating time associated with the project, communicating and scheduling others when needed, testing and creating a launch plan.
Developers are encouraged to engage in campus and outside user and technical groups to enrich their skills, network and keep abreast of emerging technologies.
This position reports to the Technical Architect and the Associate Director of Web Communications, Marketing and New Media.
