Spring 2018 at a Glance

Spring semester is here, let’s give some cheer! The spring semester offers many chances to get involved or just hang out around campus. Here are a few of the events happening this semester:

Skate Into Spring 

From 3-8 p.m. on Feb. 16, skate into spring on the Walker-Adams Mall with LiveOU! There will be free ice skating, hot chocolate, cider and cookies with a DJ and photo booth. The first 50 attendees with will receive a free beanie!

UPB CollegeCon

CollegeCon is a free pop culture convention hosted by the Union Programming Board from 4 – 9 p.m. on Feb. 17. This year’s CollegeCon will include a cosplay contest, board game lounge, screenings of Thor: Ragnarok, video game tournaments and much more! RSVP here.

Pink & Black Ball

The Gender + Equality Center will be hosting their annual Pink & Black Ball on Feb. 3rd from 8 p.m.-midnight in the Molly Shi Boren Ballroom. The Pink & Black Ball is an alcohol-free semi-formal dance that raises money for the Gender + Equality Center. Tickets for the events are $15 online and will be $20 the night of the event. From 10 a.m.-10 p.m. on March 3,  Campus Activities Council’s official philanthropy event, Soonerthon, will be taking place. This event raises money for the Oklahoma Children’s Hospital Foundation. Join numerous student organizations in spending 12 hours standing for kids that can’t. Register here.

College Bowl

College Bowl, OU’s version quiz bowl will happen from March 26-29. Get a group of your friends together and enter in this pop culture trivia competition to try to become the College Bowl champion! Find more info at this site.

Medieval Fair Ball

Take a trip back in time at the Medieval Fair Ball on April 6-8! This spectacular fair will have education exhibits, arts, food vendors, games and more! Admission is free. Find more information here.

OU Housing Fair

Are you interested in living on campus next year? Go learn all about your housing options at OU at the Housing Fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on April 6 in the OMU Courtyard.

Mom’s Day

Mom’s Day weekend is on April 6-8. Celebrate your mom this weekend with all of the events Norman has to offer. Check out this site for more information.

Sooner Scandals

Sooner Scandals in a musical revue composed of eight Broadway-style acts directed and performed entirely by OU students. Scandals overlaps with Mom’s Day weekend on April 5-7! More info can be found on CAC’s website.

OU Spring Game

Missing football season? The OU Spring Game is the perfect cure for that! Kick off is set for 1 p.m. on April 14.  Admission is free for OU students with an OU ID.

The Big Event

The Big Event is OU’s official day of community service. This year, The Big Event is happening on April 14. Join another student organization and help better our community! Check out the Big Event’s website here.
