Annette Moran has been named assistant dean of students at the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy. Prior to her new title, Moran served Mewbourne College as director of the Pioneer Natural Resources Student Services Center.
Under Moran’s leadership, Pioneer Natural Resources Student Services Center continues to expand its scope, enabling Mewbourne College to serve students in broader and more robust capacities.
“Annette Moran has created a service-oriented culture within Pioneer Natural Resources Student Services Center,” said J. Mike Stice, dean of Mewbourne College. “Her personal leadership is grounded by her empathy and caring for our students coupled with a relentless commitment to excellence in everything she does. We are so blessed to have Annette leading our advising services, study abroad and student life functions. This new title reflects the invaluable work she has done and will continue to do on behalf of all current and future Mewbourne College students.”

In 2004, she graduated with her bachelor’s degree in journalism and in 2006 earned her master’s degree in adult and higher education, also from OU. Before joining Mewbourne College, she worked with OU Athletics Academic Affairs for 10 years, first as an academic advisor and then as assistant director.
