The University of Oklahoma was invited to take part in the Alberta Energy Challenge (AEC). AEC is hosted by the University of Alberta School of Business and is an international energy case competition between nine universities. Teams from the United States, Canada and Egypt were participants for this year’s competition. For the second year in a row, OU advanced into the finals taking third place overall. In addition to the competition, teams were given a tour of Cenovus Energy’s oil sands facility and visited a steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) project at Christina Lake. Team members include: Bryce Fugate, Madeline Bull, Kourtney Buckley and Andrew Oursland.
