After 22 years at OU, Dr. Subhash Shah has retired. On Friday, September 18, MPGE faculty, staff and students, along with industry colleagues, friends and family, came together to honor the distinguished career of and to pay tribute to Dr. Shah. There are very few people who had Dr. Shah as a professor that didn’t come out better because of it. Shah has a genuine interest in people and takes the time to inquire how a person’s day is going and encourages the best from everyone. His daily presence will be missed, however, we wish him all the best in retirement.
I have known Dr. Shah for many years, and worked closely with him on several projects at OU’s Well Construction Technology Center, as well as guest lecturing for his advanced stimulation class. Dr. Shah has been a great ambassador for the University of Oklahoma and I am sure he will be sorely missed there. Here’s wishing you continued success and enjoyment in your retirement Dr Shah!!
