Research Day Hosted by OU SPE

On Friday, April 1, OU SPE hosted their first Research Day on OU’s Norman campus. The event, chaired by Wes Herron and Shelby Goss, came about as a way to address the current lack of internships available for petroleum engineering students while also highlighting the research that takes place within MPGE. Faculty members Carl Sondergeld, Catalin Teodoriu, Rouzbeh Moghanloo and Deepak Devegowda participated and gave presentations on their current areas of research, and also discussed what research opportunities were available for students. Students hired would have the ability to use the experience as an internship. The event attracted over 70 students of varying academic levels throughout MPGE’s programs.
