Faculty Update: May

  • Associate Professor Xingru Wu chaired a session during the International Conference on Oil Country Tubular Goods and Tubular String in Xi’an, China, and presented Production Casing Design for Deepwater Development–Lessons Learned from Deepwater Horizon.
  • At the SPE Low Perm Symposium in Denver, Wu presented Integrated Reservoir Modeling Workflow that Couples PVT and Adsorption in Confined Nano-Pores, an Eagle Ford Application.
  • Associate Professor Catalin Teodoriu will be presenting a paper at the 78th EAGE Conference and Exhibition and SPE EUROPEC 2016 in Vienna, Austria, May 30-June 2, and will present two papers at Foren 2016 in Costinesti, Romania, June 12-16. He will also speak on well integrity with SPE Romania.
  • Musharraf Zaman has been awarded $80,364 by the State of Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality for his study Use of Ground Tire Rubber in Asphalt Pavements: Laboratory Performance and Field Evaluations.
