Salehi Receives National Academy of Sciences Grant

Saeed Salehi, Assistant Professor, is recipient of an exploratory grant from National Academy of Sciences (NAS). The grant, totaling $394,000, is to conduct research on the role of human factors in drilling hazards and loss of well control incidents. Salehi will lead this 2-year project with collaborators from the National Institute for Risk and Resilience at OU and experts in human system engineering. The NAS is a private, non-profit society of distinguished scholars. Established by an Act of Congress, it is charged with providing independent, objective advice to the nation on matters related to science and technology.
