MPGE Emeritus Professors Make Impact

Two MPGE Emeritus professors have made contributions to the petroleum engineering industry this year.

Emeritus professor, Dr. Djebbar Tiab, has signed a multi-year contract with the Algerian national oil company, Sonatrach, to assist with the establishment of educational/training programs in basic and advanced petroleum engineering. He is also assisting the Algerian Petroleum Institute (API) to establish, in association with a U.S. university, educational/training programs in renewable energy , with emphasis on Solar and Photo-Voltaic.

Emeritus professor, Dr. Faruk Civan, has made several contributions to the industry already this year through publications of his work. Two of the publications will be presented respectively at conferences in April and July  These publications include:
