MPGE professor and Graduate Liaison, Dr. Deepak Devegowda, was honored by the Graduate College with the Graddy Award. The Graddy Award is given based on nominations from the Graduate College and recognizes outstanding service to our graduate students. Dr. Devegowda was nominated for and ultimately given the award because he always has a smile on his face and a willingness to help in Graduate College projects and on behalf of his students. In particular, he has offered to serve as a preliminary judge on all five preliminary rounds of judging in the 3MT competition. In this capacity, he gives encouraging and constructive feedback to all 3MT participants and provides relevant and expert advice to participants regarding how to embody the goal of the competition. Dr. Devegowda is an expert at mentoring the participants to help them to understand how to make complex research both understandable and relevant to a general audience.
