MPGE student Mr. Harshkumar Patel was awarded the prestigious Nancy L. Mergler Dissertation Completion Fellowship for the academic year of 2019-2020. Mr. Patel is a Ph.D. candidate in Petroleum Engineering. He conducts research on well integrity under the supervision of Dr. Saeed Salehi.
The fellowship is awarded to top Ph.D. candidates as determined by a committee of faculty from diverse fields of study. The purpose of the award is to recognize especially meritorious projects from all disciplines across the university and support their completion. The fellowship is administered by the Graduate College using funds provided by the Office of the Provost. The award will pay for two semesters of GA appointment including stipend, tuition waivers, and health insurance coverage.
