Hello again, friends! We are now in the Spring 2012 semester of the school year, which can only mean one thing: new classes!

Some of you may not realize this, but in college, you change your classes every semester. Personally, I see this as a GREAT thing. While my high school also changed classes every semester, I remember hearing about my friends from other schools complain on and on about how much they hated so-and-so’s class, or how much they wished the year would be over. But not anymore! New classes mean new teachers, new friends, and so much more to learn about! One of the greatest things about coming to college is that you have more time to learn so much more about what YOU want to study, and not just what’s in a certain curriculum. For me, that means getting to dabble in foreign languages each semester, such as French and Spanish, until finding one I really like. This shift in classes also means that if you don’t like a professor, you only have to deal with him/her for one semester. So, don’t fret if you don’t know what you want to study for the rest of your life in your first year of college, because you will have plenty of time to explore and find your passions!
