Music for Life

Do you have more than 200, 300, 400, or 500 songs on your iPod (iTunes), mp3 player, Zen, or computer? Do some of these songs date back to your middle school years? Do you even know what songs you have?

Well, here’s a way a entertain yourself (and maybe even creep yourself out) and rediscover the hundreds of audio files littering your computers and mp3 players. What is it?

The making of your life’s soundtrack. This idea is nothing new, and yes, it’s been circling the internet for a while now. But, have you tried it? Recently?

Life changes day by day, hour by hour even, and you’re probably adding new song upon new song to your audio libraries just as quickly.

So, it’s time to redo it.

And, if you haven’t done it, well, give it a try. You can’t pretend you haven’t thought about what music would play during the important moments in your life. You can’t even pretend you haven’t thought what your life as a movie would be like.

Besides, this is a fun way to pass the time and have fun with (maybe make fun of) your friends. All you have to do is open that huge library of music of yours, open Word (or go old school and get out pen and paper), and have some fun.

I even scavenged the internet from top to bottom (well, just Google pages 1 through 3, which is basically the same thing) and complied all the various lists into one. So now, you have the complete life soundtrack.

Here’s what you do!

1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, media player, Zen, iPod)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, use the name of whatever song comes up
5. New question – press the next button. Don’t lie and try to pretend you’re cool by skipping songs.

And here’s the list (fully complied)!

1. Opening Credits

2. Waking Up

3. First Day of School

4. Finding Friends

Fight Song

6. Falling in Love

7. Breaking Up

8. Prom (or something similar)

9. Graduation

10. Life’s Okay

11. Mental Breakdown

12. Driving

13. Flashback

14. Getting Back Together

15. Wedding

16. Paying the Dues

17. The Night before the War

18. Birth of a Child

19. Final Battle

20. Moment of Truth

21. Death Scene

22. Funeral Song

23. End Credits
