We All Scream for Ice Cream

Okay, so it’s cold outside. Finally! Meaning, it’s an appropriate time to talk ice cream. And I mean it. Statistics show that more people eat ice cream in winter than in summer.

Anyway, let’s talk Orange Tree.

It’s this new frozen yogurt joint off-campus (on Lindsey and McGee) that’s all self-serve. Literally. All you do is go in, grab this pretty good-sized bowl/cup thing (you can even get one with a waffle cone in it) and you go to any flavored frozen yogurt station that you want. (And there are a lot of flavors).  And yep, you can mix and match.

It’s all healthy too. Well, until you get to the toppings but that’s another matter. The frozen yogurt is all natural, it’s low in calories and fat, high in calcium and protein, and it aids digestion.

After you’ve got your yogurt fix, you go to the toppings booth, and, well, top everything off. They’ve toppings from dry fruit to fresh fruit to cereal to candy.

When I went, I got orange and white chocolate frozen yogurt and I topped it off with cherries, fruit loops, and Reece’s peanut butter cups. I know, that’s a little bit weird, but it was good. Really good. Ice cream exactly how I wanted it.

And that’s what Orange tree is. Ice cream exactly how you want it.

There’s no fixed rated. They charge by the weight. So, the less you get, the cheaper it is. But, you can still get a lot and not pay an arm and a leg. It’s worth it.

Orange Tree is delicious. And, since it’s cold outside, this is the best time to go! Ice cream is always so much better when it’s cold outside.
