October 27-29, the Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE) for the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) was held in Amsterdam. OU sent a delegation of 45 students and 8 faculty and staff to attend. One of the highlights of ATCE each year is the Petrobowl. This year’s competition included 36 teams from around the world. The championship round saw OU facing University of Tulsa. It was a nail-biting competition in which Tulsa emerged as the winner. For our second place win, team members were awarded with scholarships. The efforts put forth by OU’s Petrobowl team did not go unnoticed by the judges. Son Dang was named as Petrobowl MVP. We are proud of Son and all of our team members for their hard work and dedication.
