Felipe Perez Valencia was awarded second place at the Large-scale Atomic/Molecular Massively Parallel Simulator (LAMMPS) Workshop and Symposium. The sixth LAMMPS Workshop and Symposium was held in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the University of New Mexico (UNM) Continuing Education Building. Valencia gathered the LAMMPS users community that uses molecular dynamics in several different disciplines. For the first time this year, the best two posters were awarded in honor of Ahmed Ismail, a former collaborator of many of the LAMMPS main developers at Sandia National Laboratories and a LAMMPS contributor and user. Ahmed passed away earlier this year.
